This test is not a validated diagnostic instrument and does not replace a medical consultation. It is a pre-consultation questionnaire: it organises your symptoms and forwards them to the specialist. If you have severe pain after trauma, fever or loss of strength in your hand, go to A&E.

What this test is not

It is not a diagnosis and does not pretend to be one. Nor is it a validated instrument such as the Oxford Shoulder Score: it is an in-house pre-consultation questionnaire, built around how Dr Aveledo frames a shoulder case. A diagnosis needs the shoulder examined by hand and, almost always, imaging. What this test does is let that consultation start much further along.

What the first consultation is like

When not to take the test

If you have just suffered trauma with visible deformity, if you have a fever with a hot, swollen shoulder, or if you have lost strength or sensation in your hand, do not fill in a form: go to A&E or call +34 699 62 91 62.
